This lavishly illustrated book is devoted to Tilsit or Sovetsk. Before 1946 known as Tilsit in German in East Prussia, is a town in Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia, located on the south bank of the Neman River.

Depicted is the old town of Tilsit before war destruction. About 60% of city was destroyed.

The Queen Louise Bridge across the Memel river is shown as well as churches, streets, schools, the hindenburg stadion, the park, some winter photos. etc etc.
