With more than 130 spectacular full-page and half-page photos, the book very careful presents the German military
campaign to subdue the British Occupation Force in Norway and to crush the remaining anti-German Norwegian resistance.
The offensive was a superbly crafted combined operation of the German Heer (Army), Luftwaffe (Air Force) and Kriegsmarine
(Navy) with special emphasis on the use of Fallschirmjager (paratroopers) and Gebirgsjager (mountain troops).
The various battles were over almost before they began with British troops surrendering en masse. The Germans proudly
displayed their British POWs in a parade through the city of Trondheim, that the government of England would like everyone to forget.
In addition to superb photo coverage of the combat operations, there are plenty of pictures of the German High Command
including Milch, Von Falkenhorst, Saalwachter, Geissler, Karls, Dietl, Hermann Goring, Raeder, Keitel and many of Hitler in his Hauptquartier.
