Robber State of England

A rare book with anti-British propaganda in the guise of a tobacco card collector's album issued
by Cigaretten-Bilderdienst of Hamburg, Germany.
The cards include photographs, engravings, cartoons and maps, and illustrate a history of England cast
as "perfidious Albion" , the totally self-interested and amoral imperialist power. The text depicts the British Empire
as growing at the expense of other indigenous peoples and the other Great Powers who were cheated and swindled
by the predatory English. A particular theme is British brutality in India, including photographs of atrocities against Indians.

... with all colored & b/w cigarette cards mounted correctly.
