Celebratory Book for the Occasion
of the Handing Over of the Reichschancellery
Offered here is a very rare Celebratory Book for the Occasion of the Handing Over of the Reichschancellery to the Fuhrer on 9-January 1939. The front cover of the book depicts an average German workman (such as those who built the Reichschancellery in record time) carrying a fancy pillow with a huge symbolic key lying in the center.
Inside the book there are poems of thanks and tribute to both Adolf Hitler and the gorgeous building that he had Albert Speer design and build in central Berlin in 1938.
There are 17 full-page illustrations in the book depicting various stages in the construction from start to finish, with humerous captions written phonetically in the dialect of Berlin construction workers.
