In the Land of the Queen of Sheba
Very interesting travel report to the Hadhramaut valley [Yemen] in the early 1930's with about
two dozens black and white pictures, taken with a German Leica camera.
The author was the first European which could visit the famous city Shabwa in 1935.
Depicting soil made minaret - typically moodbrick architecture of Hadhramaut, bedouin of the tribal Al Burek, Mukalla - the most important port city of Hadramawt, departure of the caravan, mutton slaughtering by the bedouins, South Arab bedouin, the city Ora in Wadi Doan, mosque of Huraidhah in Wadi Amd, city walls and watchtowers of Tarim, streets in Shibam, grave Mosque of Sultan family of Saiwun, the palace of the Sultan of Sayun, Hadhramis bedouin from Shabwa, bedouin village near Shabwah, street scenery from Saiwun, city gate and fountain of Shibam and Palace of the Sultan of Schibam.

Foxing to glossy plates and opposite pages, else ok.
If you are picky about foxing, you should not buy this copy.
The book doesn't smell, no odor or mildew.
